Welcome to Camden's Training and Development Service (TDS)
TDS Mission Statement - To develop and promote a well trained workforce that enables staff across Camden to deliver a high quality service, with better outcomes for users of Camden’s services and all Camden residents. TDS places a strong emphasis on developing a culture where staff are offered development opportunities to increase their confidence and skills allowing them to aspire and progress.
To support this the TDS promotes the concept of a ‘well trained workforce’ to managers and works with all stakeholders to plan it’s work. The TDS commissions and delivers a range of personal and core skills development, sector specific, and profession or role specific development opportunities for the following audiences:
Children’s Workforce - A range of training for specific professions and roles within the children’s workforce including children’s social workers, youth workers, and the youth offending service.
Adult Social Care - Similarly a range of training for specific professions and roles within the adult social care workforce is offered, including adult social workers, occupational therapists, and best interest assessors. TDS also deliver a programme of training on behalf of the Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board.
Camden Learning - Working in partnership with schools and Camden’s Learning Improvement Service to deliver a significant programme of school specific training.
Inter-sector training - As TDS programmes span a number of sectors, the TDS is in a unique position where it can identify training needs which are applicable across sectors, or indeed in the case of personal and core skills programmes across the workforce. These courses are commissioned as part of an inter-sector training offer providing opportunities for professional network building through the delivery of multi-agency training.
Core skills training - TDS works in partnership with Organisational Development colleagues to commission and deliver a programme of training to underpin Camden’s transformation agendas and core skills requirements.
