Delegates who have some previous training related to safeguarding the welfare of children and wish to update knowledge and take their learning further

What does this event cover

This session will cover:

  • Legislation and framework for Child Protection
  • What is meant by significant harm and the thresholds for concern
  • The principles of assessment and the role of the MASH
  • What happens following a referral

Learning Outcomes

  • To refresh and extend knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection legislation and procedures
  • An overview of the child protection process in Camden and thresholds for concern
  • To explore how risk is assessed
  • To consider multi-agency practice in safeguarding children and the principles of information sharing

This course builds on previous knowledge and will explore the child protection process and thresholds for concern through the use of multi-agency case studies
